Mina Zembrodt
Born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky and growing up within the Greater Cincinnati region, Mina Zembrodt has pursued a path in visual arts since she created her first official art piece in 2012. Now that her efforts are coming to a head after spending all of both middle and high school taking every available art class, graphic design class and attending a vocational program sampling different digital media, she came to the decision that her efforts would be better suited for the growing video game industry. At 18 years old, Mina aspires to become a 3-D animator, character designer or video game artist for video game studios such as TellTale Games or Bethesda Softworks. She also has firm interests in traditional and digital illustration as well as film, and she hopes to dabble in both 2-D animation and basic programming in college.
Mina is a senior from Glen Este High School and was accepted into Digital Arts and Design at Live Oaks Vocational School just before St. Patrick's Day in 2015. She now is graduating from DAAD on May 18th, 2017, and will graduate from her high school on the 26th. Mina will attend Northern Kentucky University for a Bachelor of Arts degree in August of 2017, pursuing her career goals of becoming an animator or game artist however she sees fit. As a hobby, Mina has joined a team as one of the digital artists with a startup company called Phenom, who are developing a game currently only known as Project Xplorer.
Not only is she an addict of caffeinated beverages and watching 'let's plays' on YouTube, but Mina can also be found spending many hours creating pieces or writing instead of sleeping. She likes to travel with her family and friends, and indulges in both gothic literature and the horror genre whenever the opportunity strikes. Mina also loves to read graphic novels and sci-fi comic books when she can, and obsesses over the Columbus-based symphonic metal band, Starset.
